Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with a griffin on the bowl and single pendant earring; below, small seal to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Bodenstedt 91. Boston MFA 1914. SNG Copenhagen 1028. SNG von Aulock 2131. A charming and very well centered piece with a beautiful head of Athena. Light marks and with minor die rust, otherwise, about extremely fine.
